Terms of Use

Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old, or the higher age required where you live, and legally able to enter this agreement. Do not misrepresent your age or bypass eligibility controls.

Keep access to your account secure. You are responsible for your use of the account and must tell us if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not sell, rent, or transfer accounts without our permission. Available sign-in methods vary by platform. A guest account may be difficult to recover after device loss or reinstallation unless you link it using an available sign-in method. Contact support for help with access or purchase problems.

What Bella provides

Bella offers AI character conversations and roleplay, with optional paid features and image generation where available. Characters and replies are generated by AI. They are not real people or professional advisers. AI output may be inaccurate, repetitive, inappropriate, or similar to output provided to other users. Do not rely on it for medical, legal, financial, or other professional decisions, or as an emergency service.

Features, available characters, models, and usage limits can change. We may update or remove features for operational, safety, or legal reasons. Material changes to paid benefits will be handled under the sections on subscriptions and service discontinuation below, with required notice and remedies. A subscription does not promise that Bella or a particular character or model will exist forever.

Acceptable use

Do not use Bella to:

• break the law, infringe intellectual property, or violate another person's privacy
• sexually exploit minors or create sexual content involving anyone under 18, including fictional depictions
• create non-consensual intimate content, threaten or harass people, impersonate others deceptively, or facilitate fraud
• promote terrorism, serious violence, or harm to yourself or others
• bypass safety controls, age restrictions, payment checks, or usage limits
• disrupt the service, gain unauthorized access, or scrape or automate access without permission, except where applicable law permits it

An adults-only designation does not authorize unlawful or prohibited content. We may refuse requests, restrict content, and investigate reports. Report problematic output or other concerns through available in-app reporting tools or support@bellachat.app.

Your content and our intellectual property

You retain any rights you have in messages and other content you submit. You must have the rights needed to submit that content.

You give Bella Chat a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to host, reproduce, process, and transmit your content as needed to operate the features you use, generate responses, handle support and safety issues, and meet legal obligations. This permission extends to providers performing those tasks for us and lasts only as needed for those purposes, including applicable retention described in the Privacy Policy. It does not itself authorize advertising use, general AI-model training, or public publication of private conversations.

You may use generated output subject to these Terms and applicable law. We do not guarantee that output is unique, eligible for copyright, or free of third-party rights. Review output before using or sharing it.

Bella's software, branding, designs, and other materials belong to us or our licensors. You may use the app for its intended personal purposes, subject to the applicable store licence. No ownership of Bella or its underlying models is transferred to you.

Subscriptions, cancellation, and refunds

Price and renewal. The purchase screen and store checkout show the price, billing period, benefits, limits, and any introductory offer. Payment is charged through your Apple or Google Play account. A recurring subscription renews for successive billing periods unless cancelled or discontinued. Cancel before the renewal deadline shown by the store; for Apple subscriptions, turn off renewal at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Any trial or introductory offer converts to the disclosed paid price unless cancelled in time.

Cancellation. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account (https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions) or Google Play account (https://play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions). Cancellation normally prevents the next renewal while access continues through the current paid period. Trial cancellation and immediate cancellation rights may differ under store rules or local law. Uninstalling Bella or deleting your Bella account does not itself cancel a store subscription.

Refunds. Cancellation does not automatically refund the current period. Refund rights depend on the purchase, store rules, and applicable law. For Apple purchases, use Apple's refund process (https://reportaproblem.apple.com/). For Google Play purchases, use Google's refund process or contact support@bellachat.app. We will provide assistance and honour applicable refund obligations. Nothing here excludes refunds or other remedies you are legally entitled to receive.

Price or material subscription changes will be communicated and applied under the store's notice and consent rules. We will not apply a new price retroactively to a period already purchased.

Gems and usage limits

Gems are credits for eligible Bella features. They are not money, cannot be traded or transferred unless a feature expressly allows it, and cannot be redeemed for cash except through an applicable refund or legal remedy.

Purchased gems do not expire solely with the passage of time. Free promotional credits and recurring usage allowances may have reset or expiry rules only as clearly disclosed and permitted by the store. We will not treat purchased gems as free promotional credits to remove them.

The app explains the gem cost or applicable limit before a paid action. Spending gems reduces your balance. Contact support@bellachat.app if a charge or balance appears wrong or a paid action fails. Changes to costs will be shown before future spending and will not retroactively change completed transactions. Unused purchased balances at service closure are addressed in Service discontinuation below.

Service discontinuation

We may discontinue a subscription or close Bella. For a planned closure, we will give at least 31 days' advance notice, stop new purchases and subscription renewals, and continue providing paid benefits through the periods already purchased. For monthly and shorter Apple subscriptions, we will keep the service available for at least 31 days after removing those subscriptions from sale. We will honour any longer outstanding paid period or arrange an appropriate resolution with the store.

If exceptional circumstances prevent us from providing paid access for the remaining period, we will notify affected users and work through the relevant store process to address refunds and other required remedies. This does not give us a general right to stop paid service early without a remedy. We will also address unused purchased gem balances through applicable store refund procedures and legal requirements rather than simply imposing an expiry date on them.

A closure notice will explain the end date, purchase and subscription handling, and how to make data or support requests. Data retention and deletion remain governed by our Privacy Policy. There is no commitment to provide new subscription periods after discontinuation.

Suspension and account closure

You may stop using Bella and request account deletion as explained in the Privacy Policy. Cancel any store subscription separately to prevent further billing.

We may restrict or close an account where reasonably necessary for a serious breach of these Terms, fraud, security, ineligibility, or legal requirements. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and allow you to contact support to dispute an error. Urgent safety or legal action may require immediate restriction. Any treatment of paid access or balances remains subject to store rules and applicable law; restriction does not automatically remove your refund rights.

Availability and responsibility

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free AI output. To the extent permitted by law, Bella is provided as available without additional warranties beyond those expressly stated or legally required.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect losses or business losses resulting from personal use of Bella. We do not exclude liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded. These Terms do not limit mandatory consumer guarantees, data protection rights, or remedies for a service that fails to meet legal requirements.

Store terms, changes, and disputes

Apple and Google store terms govern their payment and distribution services. For the iOS app, Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/) applies to the app licence unless a valid custom licence is supplied. These Terms govern Bella's service and do not override mandatory store terms or applicable law.

We may update these Terms, showing the new effective date and giving reasonable advance notice of material changes unless urgent legal or security reasons require earlier action. We will seek acceptance where required. Changes do not remove rights already accrued or reduce paid commitments without applicable remedies.

Indian law governs these Terms, except that mandatory protections of your country of residence continue to apply. You may use any courts or consumer dispute mechanisms available to you under applicable law. Contact us first if you would like help resolving a concern; this is not a condition of exercising your legal rights.

If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
